Generalized loneliness. Half of young people aged 18 to 25 have felt very isolated since the start of the Covid-19 epidemic, according to the results of an Ipsos study for France Télévisions. In general, 69% of them find that the situation related to the coronavirus is difficult to live with.

The difficulties were multiple for the young people during this year. Thus, 16% of them say they have looked for an internship without finding one and 13% say they have changed their course of study or professional. Worse, 9% say they have lost their job and 7% have stopped their studies, according to this survey.

The crisis has had a negative impact on the outings, leisure activities and social life of young people for a large majority of them. However, it had little direct impact on their love life and their state of health.

Study carried out on 800 young people constituting a representative sample of the French population aged 18 to 25, interviewed online from March 9 to 11, 2021.
