France won against the Kazakhstan (2-0) in its second qualifying match for the 2022 World Cup, Sunday March 28, on the lawn of the Astana Arena, in Nursoultan. Ousmane Dembélé opened the scoring for the Blues before Sergiy Maliy scored an improbable goal against his side, just before half-time.

The team has been significantly reshaped following the draw (1-1) against Ukraine on Wednesday. Ousmane Dembélé, Anthony Martial and Tanguy Ndombele were titular, like Thomas Lemar and Paul Pogba. Kylian Mbappé started on the bench before entering the field, after an injury to Anthony Martial. The PSG player could have sealed the game with a penalty, but his strike was eventually stopped by Aleksandr Mokin.

Thanks to this success, Didier Deschamps’ men take the lead in Group D, with 4 points.
