Ugur Shaheen, founder of the German pharmaceutical company Biontech, which developed one of the first vaccines against the emerging corona virus, and is currently being produced in cooperation with the giant American pharmaceutical company Pfizer, said that the German people should not be frustrated by the outbreak of a third wave of infection with the emerging coronavirus.
Shaheen was speaking after receiving the Order of Merit from the Federal Republic of Germany, alongside his wife, Ozlem Toragi, co-founder of Biontech.
“We have already traveled two-thirds of the road, and we have six months left, and it requires us to do a lot,” he added.
“We have to gather forces again, and we must not allow ourselves to feel frustrated by the third wave, which may last for a longer period,” he added.
