Eufemiano Fuentes casts shadows on the Barcelona’92 medals: “If I counted everything I know, some would fall”

The controversial sports doctor speaking on the program ‘Lo de vole’: “I cheated, I don’t know anyone who didn’t cheat”

Eufemiano Fuentes, a sports doctor who for much of his professional career worked for the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation, cycling teams Y football clubs, assures that if he counted “everything” he knows, “a medal will fall” from those obtained by Spanish athletes at the Barcelona’92 Olympic Games.

Eufemiano Fuentes spoke about doping in sport, the Barcelona Olympic Games and the athletes and teams involved in these cases in an interview for the television program ‘Lo de Evole’, which will be broadcast on La Sexta next Sunday. “They didn’t want problems, they didn’t want positives, but they wanted results.” In this way, Eufemiano Fuentes justified his trips to Eastern European countries in search of techniques and products for doping, in a preview video of the program.

“I cheated and I don’t know anyone who didn’t”, said the Canarian doctor, “sure that someone may be nervous” about what he is going to say. Eufemiano Fuentes was acquitted years ago at trial for which he was judged as the alleged leader of an international network of doping in sport that had to do with the famous Operation Puerto and Operation Galgo.
