Dubai opens 50 beautiful windows for art lovers today – our life – culture


Dubai opens a new page today with fine arts, to continue the cultural journey in the city, with the activities of the 14th edition of “Art Dubai”, the regional art fair, in several specially designed sites in the Gate Building and the rest of the Dubai International Financial Center.

“Art Dubai”, which will continue until the third of next April, is one of the first international artistic events to be held with personal attendance since the start of the pandemic. It offers a diverse list of activities, including more than 50 art exhibitions from 31 countries.

The “Gate District” will include a specially designed complex of sculptures, including huge installations created by eight artists, including the Emirati artists Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim and Hussein Sharif. “Al Bawaba Avenue” is also witnessing a new program that presents single-channel films produced by more than 20 artists from the region and the world, covering a list of topics that include: nature, trips, societies living in bitter realities, dialogues, artistic performance and motion pictures, among others.

“Art Dubai” is a joint venture between the “Dubai International Financial Investment Center” and the Middle East Fairs, and forms part of the comprehensive methodology applied by the Financial Center to develop the culture and arts scene in Dubai since its inception in 2004.

An abstract interpretation
