Deputy Defense Minister Fomin held talks with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Myanmar

In the city of Naypyidaw, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Colonel-General Alexander Fomin held talks with the Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hline.

This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The visit of the delegation is a response step to the visit of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Myanmar in 2020 to the Victory Parade in Moscow.

According to Fomin, Myanmar is a reliable ally and strategic partner of Russia in Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region as a whole.

According to him, Moscow adheres to a strategic line to intensify relations between the two countries.

The participants in the talks positively assessed bilateral relations in the military field and reaffirmed their desire to use the accumulated potential as efficiently as possible for deepening cooperation.

Earlier, the head of the Main Directorate of International Military Cooperation, Lieutenant General Alexander Kshimovsky, spoke about the priority tasks of military diplomacy.
