Congo-Brazzaville is preparing to vote on Sunday March 21. Voters will have to choose between outgoing president Denis Sassou-Nguesso and six other candidates. A few days before this deadline, our reporters went to Pool, in the south of the country. During the previous presidential election, in 2016, this region was marked by serious violence opposing a militia, the Ninjas, to the armed forces of President Denis Sassou-Nguesso, whose re-election had been contested. Since then, a ceasefire agreement was signed in December 2017, and the Pool is rebuilding itself, but the wounds remain alive.
