China imposed retaliatory sanctions against the United States and Canada – RT in Russian

China is imposing sanctions against the United States and Canada in response to similar measures against Beijing, which were introduced under the pretext of “lies and misinformation” about human rights violations in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

“In response, the Chinese side is imposing sanctions on the head of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom Gail Manchin, Vice Chairman Tony Perkins, Canadian MP Michael Chong,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

They are banned from entering mainland China and the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau. Also, China will not do business with these individuals and organizations.

Beijing called on Canada and the United States to “correct their mistakes” and stop political manipulation on issues related to Xinjiang, as well as stop interfering in Chinese affairs.

China announced the imposition of retaliatory sanctions against ten people and four organizations from the European Union for the interference of Brussels in the affairs of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Beijing also imposed sanctions on Britain.

The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, called such a retaliatory step by China unacceptable.
