The Canadian company Daymak says its two-seater electric car is faster than any car in the world.
Superlatives can be debated, but Daymak says its creations are accelerating from zero to one hundred (0-60 mph, or 96.5 meters) in 1.8 seconds – beating the Tesla Roadster’s 1.9-second clock.
Is the measured speed of the Daymak completely proportional to the speeds of the supercars, as the car named Spiritius has only three wheels.
In the past, Daymak has tried to confuse the electric car market with, among other things, solar-powered off-road drivers and fully electric ATVs.
This tricycle is being developed through a crowdfunding campaign. According to the description on the crowdfunding page, Daymak claims that the two-seater Spiritius runs like a go-kart. It is scheduled to go on sale in 2023. The company hopes to receive 50,000 pre-orders for the vehicle.
There are two versions of the Daymak Spiritius: the Ultimate model has a starting price of less than 130,000 euros and the Deluxe version 17,000 euros. If there is a difference in prices, then so is performance. The Ultimate offers 480 km of operating distance (at an instantaneous top speed of 209 km / h), while the Deluxe offers 300 kilometers (top speed of 137 km / h) on a single charge.
