Bolshunov commented on the victory in the skiathlon at the Russian championship

“I built my tactics according to my condition and the work of my skis. On the ridge side, the skis worked very well. When I went ahead after the first skating circle, I did a little work, and the guys fell behind. Therefore, I decided that I needed to work at my own pace and reach the finish line, ”Bolshunov said on the air of Telesport.

The skier noted that the track in Tyumen was hard, and the slide was one of the fastest.

“The skis worked very well. There were no problems on the “classic” either. The temperature was minus one, and the whole track was in the same condition, ”he added.

Bolshunov covered the distance in 1 hour 8 minutes 52.9 seconds.

The second place was taken by Ivan Yakimushkin, 47.1 seconds behind Bolshunov. Andrey Larkov is in third place.

The Russian cross-country skiing championship runs from March 27 to April 4.
