The chairman of the Belarusian state media holding Belteleradiocompany, a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the organizer of the national selection project for the Eurovision song contest, Ivan Eismont, said that a new song had been selected for the competition.
According to him, “in the near future it will be sent to the EMU in a consolidated form.”
Earlier, the organizers of the Eurovision Song Contest stated that they could not admit the Belarusian song to the competition in the form in which it is now. In their opinion, the song is politicized and needs to be changed or replaced.
The leader of the Galasy ZMesta group, in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper, said that the musicians had sent two new songs to Belteleradiocompany instead of “I will teach you”, rejected by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
