BBC invests in women’s football – broadcasts the ladies’ high-profile Women’s Super League

In England bets the television company BBC on the ladies’ equivalent of the Premier League, the Women’s Super League. From next season, the ladies’ high-profile will be broadcast together with the television company Sky.

“It’s one of the biggest deals commercially for women’s football when it comes to a domestic deal,” Kelly Simmons, director of women’s football at the English Football Association, told BBC Sport.

– The Women’s Super League will be so visible next season. I’m sure it will inspire thousands of girls to play football, she continues.

The contract is valid for three years, until 2024.

England and Manchester City captain Steph Houghton also spoke.

– It is a fantastic step forward for women’s football. The way the sport has developed in this country in recent years is incredible, she tells the BBC.
