An improvised party gathered 400 people on Tuesday March 30 in a public park in Lille (North), reports France Bleu Nord, while the Hauts-de-France have been confined since Saturday March 20 in the morning to fight against the Covid epidemic -19.

During the afternoon, young people, mostly students, were in the Citadel park, seated in small groups of six to ten people, often without a mask and sometimes with a beer in hand.

A Lille disc jockey has set up his mixer and speaker in the middle of the park “to please people because it’s been a year since we could dance”, he explains to France Bleu Nord. The young man in his twenties believes that his audience “don’t do anything” and respects barrier gestures. “The weather is nice, we are fed up with confinement”, explains a student, “we can’t stand life in small apartments anymore.”

Very present around the park, the police went from group to group to teach and remind people to wear the mask. No verbalization was drawn up. The students dispersed peacefully around 7 p.m.
