The UAE Professional League decided to amend the dates of the last three rounds of the Arab Gulf League, while the matches of the 23rd round will be held on the predetermined date on 2-3 next April, while the 24th round will be on the 3rd of next May, followed by the 25th round on the 7th of the same month. The association said in a press statement today that it will be decided whether the last three rounds will be held on one day or two days according to the ranking schedule and to achieve the principle of justice between competing clubs, whether for the title or not.
This comes in light of the AFC announcement of the AFC Champions League matches schedule, the amendment of the preliminary round matches for Emirati clubs, and in line with the association’s initiatives to support clubs in foreign participations that were announced at the beginning of the current season, and in implementation of the clubs ’requirements.
On the other hand, it was decided to amend the final date of the Arab Gulf Cup, which will bring together the Al-Ahly and Al-Nasr teams, to be held at 7:05 pm on the ninth of April at the Sharjah Club Stadium, instead of the previous date, which was set for April 6.
This came during the meeting of the Technical Committee of the UAE Professional Association, which was held yesterday evening, via remote visual communication technology, headed by Hassan Talib Al-Marri, member of the Association’s Board of Directors, Chairman of the Technical Committee, Tariq Ali Al-Shabibi, Member of the Board of Directors, Vice-Chairman of the Technical Committee, and the presence of the members of the Committee, and after Coordination and consultation with rights-owning channels.
