Joint production with Russia of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine may begin in Iran in April. This was stated by the Iranian ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali.
Jalali noted that at the initial stage, they plan to produce up to 9 million doses of the vaccine per month.
“One of our companies at the first stage is capable of producing up to 4 million doses per month, another company – also up to 4 million doses. It will be about 8-9 million doses per month, ”the ambassador added.
In February, Iranian government spokesman Ali Rabia spoke about plans for joint Iranian-Russian production of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.
