Poland does not refuse energy cooperation with Russia, said Polish Ambassador to Moscow Krzysztof Krajewski in an interview with Interfax. According to the diplomat, it should not be a problem for Russian companies to provide mutually beneficial proposals.
Krajewski recalled that Poland is intensively working on the development of gas infrastructure, implementing, for example, the construction of the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline, gas connections with Lithuania and Slovakia and the expansion of the LNG terminal in Swinoujscie, “which allows gas to be imported from almost every corner of the world.”
Earlier, the foreign ministers of Poland and Ukraine wrote an appeal to the American president with a request to “use all means” in order to prevent the completion of the Nord Stream 2 project.
They noted that Russia “has used one of the most powerful weapons – its neighbors’ dependence on energy supplies, especially natural gas.”
