Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed that compensation be paid to the families of the victims of the Sohag accident and fixed salaries for the injured.
President Al-Sisi threatened the perpetrators of the accident, and said in his blogging him on his page on the communication sites: I followed closely the painful incident that we saw today with two trains colliding in Sohag Governorate, adding that the pain that squeezes our hearts today will only increase our determination to end such a pattern of Disasters.
He added, “I have directed the Prime Minister and all concerned agencies to be present at the site of the accident, to follow up continuously, and to provide me with all developments and reports related to the situation throughout the moment.”
President Al-Sisi vowed the perpetrators of the accident and said that the deterrent penalty will be meted out to everyone who caused this painful accident by negligence or corruption or something similar, without exception, delay or procrastination, directing the relevant agencies to take all necessary measures and provide adequate compensation to the families of the martyrs and victims.
