Al-Orouba is close to qualifying to play in the Arab Gulf League next season, after defeating its host Al-Taawon, in 4-0, yesterday, in Ras Al-Khaimah, in the 18th round of the First Division League.
The goals were scored by Nigerian Victor Nawaneri in the 21st minute, Brazilian Rodrigo da Silva (39), and Moroccan-French Fathi Sakhi (43 and 90 + 1) scored.
Al-Orouba led the championship teams’ standings with 34 points in first place, while the balance of cooperation was frozen at 18 points.
In a second match, Al-Bataih beat Al Dhaid with a clean goal, scored by Brazilian Wenderson Miurao from a penalty kick in the 61st minute, in the match that was held at Al Dhaid Stadium.
On the other hand, the Masfoot and Dibba Al Fujairah match was postponed until further notice.
The tour ends at 5:40 pm this evening with two matches between Masafi and Al-Arabi and Dibba Al-Hisn with Al-Hamriya, while the Emirates team will not play in the current round of compulsory rest.
