The skater talked about how she will celebrate the silver medal at the World Cup.
“I think in a family way. In St. Petersburg, I don’t have many acquaintances to arrange a wide banquet, to walk on a wide arm. Let’s calmly celebrate with a family and then get down to work. There was a moment when I really wanted to hug and congratulate each other, to show stronger emotions. But everything is as it is, and we resigned ourselves to this, although we wanted to hug and rejoice on a larger scale, ”she said.
Tuktamysheva also remembered her victory at the World Cup six years ago.
“During these six years I have made progress as a person. Not only like a figure skater, but also like a person. Psychologically, I try to develop myself and tune in to competitions a little differently, so that they are more stable and confident. With this medal and my skating I wanted to set an example that after eighteen life in figure skating is just beginning, and you should never give up, ”she added.
Russian figure skater Anna Shcherbakova won the gold medal in the women’s competition. Her compatriot Alexandra Trusova received a bronze award. For the first time in the history of the World Figure Skating Championships, Russian figure skaters took the entire podium.
Earlier, the amount of prize money for Russian figure skaters at the World Cup in Stockholm became known.
