A priest in Barcelona arrested with child pornography on his computer

The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a a priest from Barcelona, 63-year-old, accused of saving on his computer child pornography videos, supposedly downloaded from the internet, sources close to the case have informed Efe.

The religious was arrested on March 17 by the Mossos d’Esquadra, who left the arrest without effect that same day, waiting for him to be summoned in court once the police investigation progresses.

The Mossos d’Esquadra, who reported the arrest of the priest to the direction of the Pare Manyanet school in Sant Andreu in Barcelona, ​​followed the trail of this case when they received a direct message on their social networks warning that the man could dispose of from child pornography images.

In fact, on the priest’s computer the Mossos have located videos with pedophile content, downloaded from the internet, for which they arrested him as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of possession of child pornography.

The Catalan police are also analyzing the content of the memory of his mobile phone, in case it contains other types of pedophile content.

Sources from the Archdiocese of Barcelona consulted by Efe have confirmed that an informative file has been opened to the priest as a result of this case, although it has not specified whether precautionary measures have been adopted to remove him from his functions.
