In Hauts-de-France, 117 centers were opened this weekend. Objective: to administer 38,000 doses in two days. But some were unable to open their doors. “It’s a fight. There is a gap between the speech of the President of the Republic, and then behind the vaccines do not arrive”, explains Natacha Bouchart, the mayor (LR) of Calais. In Denain (North) for example, for lack of vaccines delivered, all the appointments set this weekend had to be canceled. “What I deplore is the lack of vaccines in Denain, and the absence of doses for the populations”, regrets Dr Gilbert Mbock, head of the commune’s vaccination center. Other centers suffered the same fate this weekend. The Regional Health Agency justified itself by explaining that the demand for doses was greater than the supply available this weekend.
