4 positive cases for Covid-19 in Lyon, OL requests the postponement of the quarter-final return against PSG

Four Olympique Lyonnais players tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday, March 29. OL have requested the postponement of the quarter-final second leg of the Champions League against PSG, scheduled for Wednesday March 31.
With only two days of the quarter-final second leg of the Champions League between Olympique Lyonnais and PSG, the shock could not take place. OL indeed announced in a press release that “PCR tests carried out this Monday morning revealed 4 positive cases for Covid-19 in the female professional group“.

Olympique Lyonnais has thus requested the postponement of the second leg of the quarter-finals of the Women’s Champions League scheduled for Wednesday March 31 against Paris Saint-Germain due to six cases of Covid-19 in its workforce. “The four positive cases declared are in addition to two others revealed at the end of last week, after PCR tests carried out by the entire workforce before the trip to Dijon (3-0 win) on behalf of the 17th day of the division 1 championship“, adds the club champion of Europe and France.

Towards a new postponement?

The Lyonnaises won 1-0 at Parc des Princes in the first leg on March 24. At the beginning of the month, on Saturday March 13, the sixteenth day of women’s D1 between these same two teams had already had to be postponed because of positive cases in the workforce of Paris Saint-Germain.
