The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy announced that 20 players have qualified for the final round scheduled for the 31st of this month (next Wednesday) for a distance of 20 meters, within the Academy’s Shooting Championship for Citizens in its second edition.
The academy said in a statement that the semi-final competition was held yesterday (Wednesday) and resulted in the qualification of 20 of the 44 shooters who participated in the qualifiers, and the organizing committee will provide the equipment, ammunition and all the necessary tools needed by the competitors.
The championship is held under the patronage of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazaa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chair of the Academy Board and Chair of the Abu Dhabi Club and Al Ain Ladies Club. The championship, which was launched at the beginning of this month, will also be held in cooperation with the Caracal Shooting Club and the Al Forsan International Sports Resort.
The competitions witnessed a strong presence of female archers, among them the female archers in the qualifying stage: Moza Awad Al-Nuaimi with a total of 97 points, Salwa Salem Al-Hadrami 96 points and Shaima Muhammad Al-Kaabi 96 points.
Fatima Al-Ali, a representative of the Academy, said in a press statement that, “The Academy was keen to support and establish women’s championships, and therefore the Women’s Shooting Championship is part of its targeted sporting programs over the coming seasons.” Al Kabeer, in order to successfully establish it in accordance with all safety standards approved by the competent authorities. ”
