Four recruits became infected while on leave last weekend, Army spokesman Daniel Reist confirmed to Keystone-ATS on Saturday, revisiting information from the Blick. They transmitted the virus to seven other people.
Normality from Monday
The soldiers are between 19 and 21 years old. No one feels bad, Reist said. The daily life of the barracks will resume its normal course on Monday.
Currently, the barracks accommodates around 600 members of the army. The behavior of exiting recruits is their responsibility, said the spokesperson. It is not possible to test 12,000 recruits after a weekend. In addition, the results are not always positive during the first days of the disease.
