Two children aged 3 and 5 were voluntarily locked up by their parents in the heat in a car in Serris (Seine-et-Marne) on Saturday noon in a parking lot at the Val-d’Europe shopping center. The anti-crime squad freed the two children, in an advanced state of dehydration and found unconscious in the car.
The alert was given shortly before 3 p.m., an article in the Parisian, by the security service of the shopping center, after observing two children without any movement in the back seat of a car with all the windows closed.
Parents deemed their children “unbearable”
On the spot, the police did not hesitate to break the front window, noting that the children did not react. It was 35 degrees in the cabin but the children were still breathing. They were immediately rehydrated.
Both parents eventually returned to the car. On vacation and originally from Tours, they had voluntarily locked the children around 1 pm, judging them “unbearable”. An investigation was opened by the police station of Chelles.
