MADRID, 6 (EUROPA PRESS)
The Prosecutor’s Office of Guanajuato, in central Mexico, announced this Sunday the arrest of three people related to the “heinous crime” that took the lives of 27 people in a rehabilitation center in Irapuato almost a week ago, and in which His assailants claimed to act on behalf of the leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel, Jose Antonio Yepez Ortiz, alias ‘El Marro, who has disassociated himself from said attack.
“The identification of three of the main defendants in such a heinous crime is announced, against whom the corresponding judicial orders were requested; they are already detained,” the Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.
Survivors of the attack testified to authorities that the hitmen who stormed heavily armed into the center had claimed they were acting under orders from ‘El Marro.
The first investigations indicated that the objective of the assailants was to eliminate a group of inmates who belonged to the Jalisco Nueva Generacion Cartel, at odds with the criminal gang led by ‘El Marro.
However, some Mexican media have echoed an audio in which the leader of the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel claims to have nothing to do with that attack, or with other matters that, he says, they have wanted to “whip up.”
“And I want to let you know that I did not have any mothers to go see,” said ‘El Marro, who in turn has criticized those “ojetes” who are trying to “wash people’s coconut” to make them believe that He was involved in that “fucking problem”, although he did not know of the existence of that “fucking place”.
The assault on the rehabilitation center occurred on Wednesday, after the Jalisco Nueva Generacion Cartel, with the collaboration of three policemen from Silao, in the state of Guanajuato, murdered one of the lawyers of the mother of ‘El Marro, while trying to identify the woman, who had just been brought to justice for her alleged involvement in a drug trafficking case.
