The big festival was canceled due to Corona. It is the longest Danube Island Festival of all time from July 1st to September 18th. The 20th edition of the open-air event comes to the Grätzel, where smaller concerts by local artists will take place in markets, parks and other open spaces.

The tour bus with the musicians on board starts every day at 2 p.m. and is then on until 9 p.m. Two to three stops including concerts are always planned. The kick-off is already taking place in Vienna-Donaustadt at the Sparefroh playground opposite the workers’ beach. The neo-swing band DELADAP will play there from 2 p.m. Later, at 7 p.m., the same group played at Wallensteinsplatz in Vienna-Brigittenau.

Mini concerts

The concerts should only last 20 to 30 minutes each to avoid large crowds. If there is a health rush for visitors, you reserve the right to cancel concerts.

The exact locations and bands are always announced on the day of the performance via social media. This measure should also help to ensure that not too many people come together in a confined space.
