Wooded areas are increasing, but it is the forest that hides the tree: in Europe, almost half of the species are threatened. Depletion, even extinction.
They are part of our daily life, sometimes for decades, as immutable elements of our landscape. But this observation is only an impression. Because for trees, life is far from being a long, calm river. And their future is not really bright. Global warming, emerging diseases, rampant urbanization or even impoverishment of ecosystems … Because of these scourges, more than 40% of tree species are now considered threatened on our continent, recently alerted a report by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
