The VivoBook M433IA-EB372T takes many of the lines of its predecessor (VivoBook S432) but Asus makes some very sensitive adjustments to the box. The chassis all metal always reveals a sharp and angular silhouette, a visible bias in particular at the level of the ErgoLift hinge which is refined. Now crossed on the majority of Asus PCs, this hinge has the distinction of tilting the base up to 3.5 degrees following the opening of the cover so optimize typing comfort while contributing to better air circulation below the chassis. Aesthetic question, Asus keeps a colorful range on its VivoBook M433 series and opted here for a “Dreamy White” design which offers a white back with reflections sometimes light blue sometimes pink / purple facing a more classic silver base. It is original while avoiding the overly garish color.

The keyboard benefits from a system of backlight (white) to highlight the silver keys in the dark and we see that Asus has added a yellow outline and lettering to the Enter key. It’s curious but it adds a little touch of singular color to the interior.

Important precision, this series is optional with a NumPad (backlit numeric keypad on the touchpad) or a fingerprint reader. We do not know what equipment is fitted to this precise model in the absence of precision from the merchants.

Measurements are another point on which Asus has redesigned its VivoBook. Its weight remains of the order of light with 1.4 kg on the scale and its thickness is refined to 15.9 mm (against 17.9 mm on the S432).

For its part, the screen has a definition Full HD (1920 x 1080 px) which provides a healthy display density for viewing High Definition content in the best conditions. For wireless connectivity, there is no Wi-Fi AX but the previous Wi-Fi AC version and Bluetooth 5.0.

But the great strength of this Asus VivoBook M433IA-EB372T is to look especially at the processor department with the support of an AMD Ryzen Renoir (2020) Ryzen 7 4700U Octo Core low consumption. This shows a nice increase in performance compared to the Ryzen 7 3700U (2019), thanks in particular to the number of cores which doubles but also to the finer engraving used. Overall for current use, the scores are close to an Intel Core i7-1065G7 but the difference is more visible on tasks that consume processor resources that can take advantage of all hearts such as content creation (editing, rendering , modelization…). Namely that we stay on low consumption (TDP 15W), so do not expect from this processor the same resources as an Octo Core-H (Ryzen 7 4800H) which is a processor designed for complex calculations deepened.

Opposite, the 16 GB RAM is a strength to enjoy comfortable multitasking whatever your use and to look forward to the years to come.

The VivoBook M433IA is not intended to play but the Radeon Vega 7 integrated into the processor is not against some occasional parts. At the level of an NVIDIA GeForce MX330, its capacities are more than enough for everyday work and the tasks listed above and even allow a few games from time to time on games that are not very demanding graphically. Most will require making some concessions on screen definition and / or details however.

Storage is just as basic here since it is entrusted to a 1 TB fast dedicated SSD (NVMe PCIe). The system benefits directly compared to a configuration with mechanical hard drive because of the speed of loading offered by the SSD. This type of storage ensures almost instantaneous on and off phases, transfers calculated in seconds or instant software launches where the mechanical support involved significant latencies. Note also that the SSD is inherently quieter, robust and efficient than a hard drive. And if it is often tackled for its storage capacity that is too low, it is not the case here since it provides 1 TB, enough to allow the installation of heavy programs and the storage of your entire toy library.

Finally, let’s see what this PC offers in terms of autonomy. Its battery offers an average capacity (50 Whr), which should leave it a little more 7 hours of autonomy in web browsing with active Wifi.
