Various parents’ allegations weigh heavily. A teacher from the primary school in Beckenried is supposed to terrorize her students. Radio Pilatus reports that corporal punishment should be part of the teacher’s everyday life. A mother says: “My son received a slap in front of the whole class.” This is because he did not want to wear cycling pants for a school performance, but rather sports pants. Another mother says, “My daughter came home on my birthday and said the teacher slapped her on the face.”
Several other parents tell Radio Pilatus that they have seen the teacher pulling children by the hair or ears in several cases. Schoolchildren have also been hit with the ruler. «That is normal with this teacher. You know that, my daughter told me, »says a mother.
In addition to the physical assaults, there should also be psychological attacks. The students are shown in front of the whole class. “My son came home and said that the teacher told him he was stupid,” said one mother. Another mother: «The teacher said:‹ At most you will become a salesperson. It is not enough for more. ›» The pressure goes so far that individual students even had to fight with rashes and hair loss.
The incidents have been going on for years. Many parents are afraid to do anything about it, for fear that their child will suffer even more. School social work was informed in individual cases, but nothing ever happened. In the meantime, an internal procedure has been initiated by the school, said the school commission president. The allegations against the teacher are now being investigated and a decision will later be made as to whether the case goes to the public prosecutor. A slap in the face is considered a simple physical injury.
