Receiving the company’s Southern Regional Manager Ali Arcan, Karaburun District Manager Mustafa Ekinci and his accompanying delegation, Karabun Mayor İlkay Girgin Erdoğan, reminding that the district, which has a settled population of 11,329, has hosted more than 30 thousand citizens this winter due to the pandemic and earthquakes, GDZ administrators called for strengthening the infrastructure.

Drawing attention to the fact that the electricity cuts they experience every year during the winter months have become systematic this year, our citizens, our tradesmen, rightly rebel against the situation they live in and direct his reaction to our Municipality. Besides the increasing population due to the pandemic; Due to the lack of infrastructure investment in the region for years and the old lines, we often experience breakdowns. Especially in our villages, there are days when there is a power outage for hours. dozens of wind power plant is working in our mountains, illuminating the electricity produced in Turkey but we are in the dark, we’re cold, we’re illuminated by candlelight, our distorted white goods. “In 2021, such a situation can only be explained with the word tragicomic.”

GDZ Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş Southern Regional Manager Ali Arcan stated that they will start an intensive investment program step by step in 2021 in order to eliminate the problems in the peninsula, and said that the company will increase its network infrastructure and maintenance investment fourfold in 2021.
