No plans to postpone ongoing BCS exams: PSC

There are no plans to postpone the three ongoing BCS exams, but the application deadline for the 43rd BCS exams may be extended, according to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission or PSC.

Tuesday (February 23) PSC Chairman. Sohrab Hossain told the media that Education Minister Dipu Moni had hinted at postponing the BCS exams by coordinating with the opening of the university, pointing only to the 43rd BCS. Even then, if there is any suggestion about other BCSs, it will be discussed in detail in the meeting of the commission and a ‘test and candidate friendly’ decision will be taken.

The PSC chairman said, “There is nothing confusing about the exam. The 41st or 42nd BCS exams would have taken place long ago. At the end of all the process is just left to take the test. So there is no reason to back them up. However, we will take a decision after discussing with all concerned so that no one is deprived of the opportunity to apply for the 43rd BCS if the university is not opened.

The 43rd BCS preliminary examination is scheduled to be held on August 8. For which there is an opportunity to apply till March 31. The 41st BCS Preliminary Examination is also scheduled to be held on March 19. Source: BBC Bangla
