“Together, these markets represent more than a billion people, nearly half of whom already use the Internet,” said Spotify spokesman Alex Norstrom. “Some of the places we go, such as Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nigeria, have the fastest growing internet population in the world,” he added.
Spotify has also announced a new subscription service with higher sound quality and a new ad marketplace for podcasts.
New podcast with Bruce Springsteen and Barack Obama
