“Russia 1” made a story about “Putin’s palace”, calling it an apart-hotel

State TV channel “Russia 1” on Friday evening will show a story about a residence on the Black Sea coast near the village of Praskoveevka, 20 km from the city of Gelendzhik, which Alexei Navalny called “Putin’s palace” in his investigation. The announcement of the plot was published on his Facebook page by its author Alexander Rogatkin.

“There are no golden eagles, no marble columns – finishing works are underway throughout the building,” Rogatkin himself says in the announcement.

He asks one of the builders of the residence if it really is “Putin’s palace”, who says that this is “an apart-hotel, well, this is a hotel with rooms, common areas, a swimming pool.”

Earlier, we recall, the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK, recognized in Russia as a foreign agent) published an investigation about a “palace” on the Black Sea coast in the size of 39 principalities of Monaco worth 100 billion rubles. Navalny claims that the “palace” allegedly belongs to Putin. Since the movie was published on YouTube, it has amassed over 100 million views.

On January 25, at a meeting with students, Vladimir Putin said that he had not watched Navalny’s film, but that he had seen a video selection made by his assistants. The head of state assured that neither he nor his relatives owned and never owned the property mentioned in Navalny’s investigation.

At the same time, according to Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin will not name the owners of the “palace”, because they have no right to do so and it is “incorrect.”

For its part, the FSO stated that in the Gelendzhik area there are no protected objects under this service. The FSB said that a no-fly zone in the area was established in the interests of border security.
