#He said on #Today #Extra on #Thursday he was ‘a bit gobsmacked’ when he was cast as a dad in #Netflix’s #Sweet #Magnolias, noting that the transition from teenage heart-throb to mature actor happened faster than expected.

#Chris, 41, and his wife, #Laina #Rose #Thyfault, share two children, son #Frederick #Easton, four, and daughter #Isla #Rose, two.

‘I have to tell you guys, I was a bit gobsmacked when we started this whole thing [Sweet Magnolias] and there I was playing the dad of the teenagers,’ he said.

‘#It sure happens fast!’ he added.

#American #Pie (1999) followed a group of high school seniors who make a pact to lose their virginity before graduation.
