#Mohamed #Salah has been infected with #Covid-19.
#Covid 19 has emptied the stadiums and stopped competitions for a good part of the year 2020 but despite everything there are sporting events to remember.
The coronavirus empties the stadiums
#Just as it has impacted almost every part of our life, #Covid-19 has had profound consequences for the world of sport.
The health crisis dominated sports news. The suspension of the football season, quickly followed by the collapse of the entire world sports calendar in mid-March, then the cancellation of many major events, including the very first postponement of the #Olympic #Games in history, marked the year.
#Much of the sporting competition was able to resume, albeit behind closed doors.
#Women’s sport has been particularly affected, with female athletes often resuming action long after their male counterparts, highlighting the gender inequality and underfunding that persists in high performance sport.
