#Google is one of the most advanced companies when it comes to artificial intelligence. #And today, the #Mountain #View firm is using AI to improve almost all of its products.
#For example, #Google uses its technological advancements to offer the #Smart #Compose feature on #Gmail, to save you time when composing a message. #And on its #Pixel smartphones, AI is being used to deliver smart photo features.
#What you might not know is that #Google also offers a feature called #Smart #Selection or #Smart #Selection on some #Android models. #In essence, when you select text, this feature can decrypt information and suggest actions on other apps.
#For example, if you have selected the name of a group in an article, #Smart #Selection may display a button to listen to that group on a streaming app, next to the buttons to copy and share.
#And recently, it looks like #Google has improved this smart selection, adding a link to a unit or currency converter. #For example, when you select an amount, #Smart #Selection may display a convert button that will redirect you to a currency conversion page.

#And if you select, for example, the text “80 miles per hour”, this #Google feature may also display a convert button. #Tapping on it will take you to a page that converts 80 miles per hour to kilometers per hour.
#Without this feature, you would have had to copy the text, go to a converter, then paste, in order to have the equivalent.
#As the 9to5Google site notes in an article published this #December, it is not known exactly when #Google started rolling out this new feature. #But what is clear is that this one comes in extremely handy when you are getting information using your smartphone.
