Tom Hanks unveils bald head on The Graham Norton Show as part of new look for Elvis Presley biopic

#Tom #Hanks has shocked fans by debuting his “horrible” new haircut while on the #Gold #Coast.

The A-list actor, who is in #Australia to play #Elvis #Presley’s manager #Colonel #Tom #Parker in a new biopic, has unveiled his drastic new look while being interviewed on #British TV.

The star was on The #Graham #Norton #Show when he removed his cap to show his signature brunette locks had been completely shaven off.

“Let me show you the horrible I have to have in order to portray #Colonel #Tom #Parker,” #Hanks told the TV host before removing his hat.

#It appears the 64-year-old isn’t a fan of his new look adding: “Check out this horrible….can you see that? #Look at that thing!”

“I just scared the children,” #Hanks added. “I want to apologise for showing that.”

#Hanks, 64, is filming the highly anticipated film directed by #Baz #Luhrmann, which also stars #Austin #Butler as #Presley, and #Perth actors #Olivia #DeJonge and #Dacre #Montgomery.

#Production of the flick was halted in #March when #Hanks and his wife #Rita #Wilson were both diagnosed with COVID-19.

#Director #Luhrmann revealed he was just four days away from shooting the first scene when #Hanks’ test returned positive.

“So I’m getting ready to begin shooting on a #Monday, and it’s a scene where basically hundreds of girls are kissing #Elvis … #Tom (#Hanks) guides him through the crowd … #We were rehearsing camera positioning, everything, and I’d done all the tests, #Austin (#Butler ), #Tom, and the whole cast was on fire,” #Lurhmann told #Deadline in #April.

“We were that close … The world knows what happened next.”

#He detailed the fallout after the worldwide coverage #Hanks and #Wilson’s diagnosis received, explaining a team in hazmat suits tested the entire crew.

“Everybody who was in the footage — and that included #Austin and myself — we were 100 per cent quarantined for 14 days, no contact with anybody,” #Luhrmann said.

“I was in my house and we were locked down entirely.”
