It is the result of an 8-month investigation: the police dismantled a vast drug trafficking that spread over the entire south-east of the province of Hainaut: in the boot of Hainaut, but also along the French border: Erquelines, Lobbes, Merbes. The whole area of ​​Courcelles, Binche and also the Mons region. A total of 10 people have been charged and 7 have since been sleeping in prison. It is the fruit of a long and meticulous investigation work, it was necessary to coordinate the work of 5 police zones and 45 police officers.
This survey began in the fall of 2019 according to the newspaper La Province. The police spotted drug trafficking near Anderlues and Froidchapelle. And then, for 8 months, they discreetly scrutinized, analyzed, searched, observed. They got in touch with the other police zones. Until knowing enough to carry out, last June, no less than 18 searches. In different places, but at the same time, to prevent suspects from alerting others.
On June 11, the operation was completed. The police got their hands on a kg of drugs: hashish and marijuana. A little coke. Cash: 6,000 euros. Phones, computers, precision scales, equipment for growing and packaging drugs. And then also cars, champagne, wine, whiskey, in total, no less than 2,500 bottles. And weapons; Guns … and even a crossbow.

Ten people are therefore awaiting trial in this drug trafficking.
