Vienna (OTS / RK) – StR KommR Peter Hanke (SPÖ) thanked in his closing words for the debates and requested that the accounts be resolved.
The city of Vienna’s accounts for 2019 were approved with the votes of the SPÖ and the Greens. With the same majority of votes, the annual financial statements of the municipal companies KAV, Wien Kanal and Wiener Wohnen were also adopted.
The following motions, which were tabled in the course of the two-day debate, were unanimously assigned to the relevant committees: establishment of a budget service; Upgrading the Committee on European and International Affairs; Care and upgrading dog areas; Increase vaccination coverage influenza; Implementation of the reform of the Vienna KAV as well as commitment to safeguarding opposition rights Comprehensive implementation of general medical acute coordination (AMA) and primary care outpatient clinics (EVA) in the hospitals of the Vienna KAV – all of them ÖVP and a ban on killing male chicks, introduced by the SPÖ and the Greens.
The SPÖ and Greens’ proposals for the convening of the Federal Network for the Prevention of Extremism and Deradicalization (BNED) and children in refugee camps in the European Union, which were introduced with the NEOS, were accepted with multiple votes.
The motion of no confidence against Mayor Michael Ludwig, submitted by the FPÖ, was rejected with 60 out of 89 votes.
All other motions did not find the necessary majority.
