The Spanish club FC Valencia kicked out their coach Albert Celades on Monday.
Celades has definitively lost the confidence of its leaders following the setback suffered in the league against Villarreal. He will only have stayed at the head of this team for 9 months since he replaced Marcelino last September.
According to Spanish radio Onda Cero, Ernesto Valverde, the former Barça coach, would take over from Mestalla. As a reminder, he left the Nou Camp last January to make way for Quique Setién. Valverde knows Valencia quite well since he led this training between 2012 and 2013. His La Liga experience would certainly be of great help to Che.
Valencia is currently 8th in the 8-point ranking in fourth place. The ticket for the Champions League seems very difficult to get. Even a presence in the Europa League is not guaranteed at all. Valence already had a season without a continental route in 2016/17.
