DFL boss Christian Seifert is impressed by BVB’s transfer strategy. At Erling Haaland, Borussia Dortmund once again did a very good job.
In this regard, Borussia Dortmund has done a good job in recent years. With talented players like Haaland, the club can now keep up with the big rivals from abroad: “Dortmund did it and did an excellent job again,” emphasized Seifert.
Only at the weekend did Haaland make another goal in the 4: 0 against Schalke 04. In the current Bundesliga season, the 19-year-old has already scored ten goals in just nine games. However, that arouses desire in other clubs: “Every great player who leaves is a loss,” the DFL boss knows.
DFL boss Seifert on Bundesliga restart: “Want to be treated like any other industry”
Seifert also explained the reasons that would have led to the continuation of the Bundesliga. “I am responsible for 36 small and large companies that had to interrupt their activities,” Seifert justified the restart with the financial losses of the clubs: “Having two months of no income is difficult.”
It was therefore necessary to restart league operations in order to ensure the survival of financially troubled clubs. However, Seifert emphasized that football does not want to occupy a special position: “We only want to be treated like any other industry.”
