Erling Haaland shoots Borussia Dortmund in Leipzig to a new club record
Borussia Dortmund broke a club record on Saturday by beating RB Leipzig 2-0: In the current season, BVB has scored 84 goals so far and has already set a record on Matchday 33.
With 82 goals, the 2015/16 season had been Dortmund’s highest-scoring season so far, but even then the scoring was not enough to contest the championship with Bayern.
Under coach Jürgen Klopp, Borussia Dortmund broke the 80-goal mark for the first time in the 2011/12 season – since then BVB has managed this feat six times in the past nine years.
Haaland on FC Bayern’s new championship: “Shit they won the title”
Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland was disappointed with the renewed title win of FC Bayern Munich. “First of all, of course it sucks that Bayern won,” said the 19-year-old after the 2-0 victory over RB Leipzig BT Sport.
From this, BVB must draw the right conclusions with regard to the new season: “We have to make the best of it. We secured second place, but we tried to get as close as possible to them,” said Haaland.

For Giovanni Reyna, who made his starting debut for Borussia Dortmund in Leipzig, Haaland also found words of praise again: “I have already called him the American dream and it is true,” said the BVB striker: “He is 17 years old and what he’s doing on the pitch is amazing. He has a bright future ahead of him. ”

Paris Saint-Germain will have to do without Edinson Cavani and Thomas Meunier if the Champions League continues in August. The contracts for both players expire at the end of June.
